The Elegance Of Wrought Iron

Throughout the years wrought iron has been used as a form of strength and durability in furniture and everyday items. Blacksmiths worked hard to sculpt and shape the iron into many forms for everyday use, such as tools, horseshoes, and furniture. It was built to last. Wrought Iron today is still made to last, but I have been noticing that there is a more elegant side to wrought iron then there once was. Magazines are filled with chandeliers and candles holders made of beautifully sculpted scrolls. One addition that can really make a wrought iron piece elegant is a touch of crystal. Wrapping your wrought iron candle sconces with a small bead garland can bring a touch of magic for the holidays. Or adding drops of crystal to your wrought iron chandelier can make a beautiful statement in the dining. Wrought iron is such a versatile piece, no wonder it has remained a decorating favorite throughout the years.
Wrought iron – strong, yet elegant!
